The Grammys kicked off with a great performance by Taylor Swift’s tour opener: Camila Cabello. However, Ms. Swift was a no show.
There were speculations regarding Taylor’s attendance. After all, she had the best-selling album of 2018. She was allegedly asked to open the show, but she declined.
Taylor was only nominated for best pop album, who she lost to Ariana Grande’s Sweetener.
Album of the year was given to Kacey Musgraves’ Golder Hour. But why did Golden Hour with 141,100 copies sold beat Swift’s Reputation with 1.216 million copies sold in only the first week? Many speculate the Grammys had a mission to make the show more diverse. However, Swifties didn’t buy into that.
Taylor Swift ignoring the Grammys because she knows that she deserved more is VERY BIG ENERGY

Taylor Swift doesn’t need the #GRAMMYs this era. 🤷🏻♂️ With her last album she made the music she wanted to, said everything she needed to say, and reclaimed her reputation. ugh i truly love @taylorswift13 with my whole heart pic.twitter.com/YFpsjD7oni

Ms. Swift has talked in the past about how important the Grammys are to her. “When they announced the Album of The Year winner, it was like, ‘And the album of the year goes to…Reeeeeandom Access Memories, Daft Punk! And they really dragged out the ‘reeee.’
And for a second there, I kind of thought we had it, and we didn’t. I remember not going to after-parties, I went home and I cried a little bit, and I got In-N-Out Burger and ate a lot.”

But this time Taylor didn’t stay home and cried. She spent the night at the BAFTA awards with her “gorgeous” boyfriend, Joe Alwyn.
