The Laugh Factory has rocked the comedy scene for decades, headlining names as big as Tim Allen, Jim Carrey, and Dave Chappelle.  This season, the Las Vegas lineup holds strong with some of the best comics and rising stars from all over the country. “Car alarms should be the ice cream truck song, at least then 15 fat kids will come running” –Brian Scolaro, Hermosa Beech 2014

Uh, Who’s this Guy?

For those of you who don’t recognize him from his thirty minute special on Comedy Central, Comedy Central Presents: Brian Scolaro, you may remember him as the cleanly shaven forensic scientist from Showtime’s Dexter, or Doug, the town drunk, from the hit show Sullivan & Son. His appearances on television may be brief, but writer, actor, and comedian Brian Scolaro hits the stage like a tsunami. His quick wit and timing gain notice from major companies such as ABC, and a spot on Late Night with Conan O’Brien.

“I want to open a restaurant. I’d put sombreros on the walls and hang piñatas, and I’d only serve Chinese food. It’s called, Where the Hell are We?” Brian Scolaro Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson 2014

Other notable appearances: AMC’s Mad Men, FOX’s Stacked, NBC’s Three Sisters, ABC’s Comics Unleashed, Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, TNT’s Men of a Certain Age, The Brothers Solomon, HBO’s The Life and Times of Tim, Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place, Showtime’s Shameless.

“When do you want to pick up the garbage? I don’t know, 5 AM? Alright, give me the loudest truck you’ve got.”  -Brian Scolaro, Laugh Factory 2010

Impressive, But is He Funny?

At the start of the show, you may be blessed with a real gem, his signature “out of breath” entrance after a short walk on stage. Brian Scolaro leaves his shame at the door with a cascade of jokes some might say give out too much personal information. Touching on topics ranging from how he feels about the perks and downsides of being fat, to things as relatable as the intense struggle of holding in a fart.

Want to know why your body makes so many weird sounds? Since when did adults steal Halloween? Brian Scolaro has the answers to these questions and many more that you may not want to think about.

“I dated a girl that dressed as a sexy nurse for Halloween. It was hot so I told her we should roll play. We got home and I don’t think she knew how since she said in a sexy voice ‘I have cancer’.” –Brian Scolaro, Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson 2014
